  1. Carla,

Good effort. Your footwork for the turns is good. So is the consistent "Heel" & stepping off with the left foot. You are working consistently to keep the 'J' loop in your leash.

Here's some pointers that will help you help Milo understand:
    1) On the AS (Auto Sit) your leash pressure needs to be coming from above Milo's head, between his ears, straight up to the sky. Your leash pressure is a bit off, so Milo isn't getting the clear communication he needs to understand what to do, when.

    2) When he is to far away from you on the 3-Step-Halt to AS (which is common with a learning dog), don't 'sidestep' into him to close the gap, nor do you have to get him right next to you. He is learning the mechanics which translate into 'put butt on ground now' so the sidestepping will actually teach him to mistrust your footwork, and he will move FARTHUR away from you on a Halt. Also, trying to get him to be in perfect Sit position, next to you, right now is a stretch. To help him get closer, work him against a fence or wall or on a curb, anything that is a left side boundary to him. That way, the boundary does the work you are trying to do.

    Make sense?
